PDF Creator - Windows 8.1

I had been running pdfCreator 1.0 successfully on Windows 7 and 8.  Recently I upgraded my Windows 8 machine to 8.1 - and pdfCreator no longer works.  I had been printing from VB scripts in Excel as well as other programs.  Now I cannot even get output from a simple Word document.

Anyone with similar problems, explanation, solutions?
