Problem with PDFCreator in J2EE envirironment

I am using PDFCreator with Java in a J2EE Webapp (Tomcat).

My concern is that PDFCreator always open and close a window when it try to convert a Wor doc into a PDF.
The best is that it Works correctly in my Eclipse J2EE with embedded Tomcat, but, when i am deploying the war file to the Tomcat standalone it doesn't works.

I tried calling a vbscript using ProcessBuilder. I catch inputErrorStream and send to Tomcat Log: 
         word2pdf.vbs(47, 3) PDFCreator: Unable to show modal form within this context

I tried with an API (PDFCreator4j): The process Hangs.

I did not find an option to suppress the pop-up window in PDFCreator.

Any suggestion to help an old developer?

PDF Creator always prints when I just want to save document

I have had this problem before. I currently have vs 1.7.3 installed. When I select a document for conversion to .pdf, I get the pop-up saying 'switching PDFCreator temporarily as default printer'. If I click on 'OK' the conversion takes place and immediately afterwards the printer starts printing, and the usual 'save as' doesn't appear.  I've tried deleting the programme, and re-installing. It worked fine first time, but now it's back up to its old tricks.  I'm running Windows 7 64bit if that's relevant.  Help!!

Token

I´m just trying to configure a profile with using the token <Environment>. This token I have found in the online-documentation, but it seams that this is not supported by version 1.7.3 (in my case installed in server mode).

What is wrong?

PDFCreato increase the file size

Hello,


we use the last version of pdfcreator and we save the file automatically. The file saved is 2mb but when we send the file to print increase to 102 Mb ( 2 Mb for page) there are any solution for this issue?

PDF Creator produces PDF with searchable/non-searchable text

We have PDF Creator 1.7.3 installed on a Windows 8.1 PC and used Sage MAS90 software to print statements.  The resulting 277 page PDF contains some non-searchable, non-selectable text along with the searchable & selectable text.

Pressing ctl-A and scrolling through the pages show it's totally random. Sometimes the customer name is not selected, sometimes it is. Same with all the text data on the pages.

Printing the same statements using the Adobe PDF printer driver supplied with Acrobat Pro X produces a PDF with all the text searchable and selectable.

I saw a similar sounding bug at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=638764, although that is a problem with FireFox 4.0 printing.

Any idea why this is happening?  It makes PDF Creator pretty much unusable.

Title text remplacement

Hi,

The title text replacement no longer seems to work. (for autocad)

The only one token working is <InputFilename> but the "presentation1" is not deleted anymore.

Can I solve it or is it a bug?

problems with images

I have a .Net application that uses your product to convert files to PDF , it works correctly for all types , but I have two problems with images:

-  For some images the converted PDF appears with cut edges,

- Another problem is flipping the some images to 90 degree or 180 degree.

Could you help me  please?

I installed pdf creator 1.7.3 and I had no problem using it ad admin, but when I use it as no-admin it did't run and this error occur

AutoSave Server Mode is not working

HI,

I recently upgrade from version 1.7.2 to 1.7.3.
With the last version i could print documents from a network Project with the same document title or same document file name, but when i update to the last one version i can not.

I have installed PDF 1.7.3 on a windows server 2012 as PDF Creator Server Mode.

I have used the <Title> and <DocumentFilename> for fix my issue, but none is working.

I really apreciate the help.

my problem is that my destionation Path is c:/test one/VAV1411644475601.pdf; my file is not getting generate on that location.

if i give path as c:/testone/VAV1411644475601.pdf; then file is getting generated.

So my problem is that how to read the blank space between (test one). i also try %20 in between but it did'nt work.

Sir, Means how i can acces folder path using PDFCreator.

Windows Test Page fails to print

Hi,

We are currently trialling both the 1.7.3 and beta 1.9.5 versions of the PDFCreator software.

Both running on Microsoft Server 2008 R2

When
printing the PDFCreator Test page, this prints sucessfully and emails perfectly, but when we
try to print the Windows Test page or to the PDFCreator printer it fails. Logfile contains the below
error

2014-09-18 14:40:21.3642 [Error]
pdfforge.PDFCreator.JobRunner.ProcessJob: The job 'Test Page' terminated
at step SelectTarget and did not end successfully.

pdf to e-mail with custom recepient

Hey, first of all thank you for the product!

I would like to ask if I could setup a pc that will print vouchers to pdfcreator and send automatically the e-mail to a specified address for each printjob. The e-mail address is stored to my erp system.

Is there a workaround?

While downloading PDFCreator-1_7_3_setup.exe by Chrome  the process didn't end properly. I use the dutch version (37.0.2062.120 m). I got a notification saying litterally:
"Chrome heeft PDFCreator-1_7_3_setup.exe geblokkeerd omdat het bestand een negatieve invloed kan hebben op je browserervaring." Translated:
Chrome has blocked PDFCreator-1_7_3_setup.exe because the file may have a negative influence on your browser experience.
When I tried to continue (clicked: repair harmful file)  the browser asked  (translated): "Repair Malware?? This may be dangerous. We advise you do not do it!"

And now? What to do???

große Dateigrößen beim Zusammenfügen von PDF-Dateien

Hallo Zusammen,
ich verwende nun PDF-Creator seit einiger Zeit.
Bisher ohne Probleme. Word Dateien , gescannte Dateien und PDFs ließen sich gut verarbeiten.
Seid kurzen habe ich das Problem, dass wenn ich mehrere bereits erstellte PDFs von geringer Größe ( 30-60 kb) zusammen Drucken möchte sehr große Dateien (2-20 MB)rauskommen.
Ich habe bereits verschiedenste Einstellungen probiert, und sogar neu installiert.
Bis vor kurzen ist dieses Problem noch nicht aufgetreten.

Wer weiß woran es liegen könnte, und wie kann ich das Problem beheben?

Probleme mit PCL6 und PDFCreator 1.7.3

Hallo,
ich habe ein Problem mit einem Java-Programm. Das Programm schick Drucker-Jobs an eine Einstellbare IP-Addresse. Es gibt keine weitere Möglichkeit das Programm zu konfigurieren. Aus der Dokumentation weis ich, das als Druckerprotokoll PCL6 verwendet wird. Nun möchte ich, einerseits um Druckkosten zu sparen und anderer seits die Ergebnisse zu archivieren, diese jobs automatisch als pdf ablegen.
Mit dem Tool "RawPrintServer" habe ich es inzwischen geschaft, den Port 9100 auf den PDFCreator umzuleiten. Leider erhelte ich beim automatischen speichern nur leere pfds.

Wenn ich anstelle des PDFCreator die Dokumente an meinen Netzwerkdrucker schicke funktioniert alls wunderbar.
Ich hoffe jemand von euch kann mir helfen, da ich für meine Aufgabe gerne beim PDFCreator und dessen möglichkeiten bleiben möchte.

Mit dem PDFCreator 1.9.5 entstandene PS-Datei wird nicht zur PDF

Hallo,
ich arbeite mit PDF-T-Maker 3jg088b vom 14.7.2011 unter Word2010 (32Bit) und Win7 (64Bit) und versuche mit Hilfe des PDFCreator 1.9.5 PDF Dateien zu erstellen. Bis zur PDFCreator Version 1.7.3 konnte ich dem PDF-T-Maker die PDFCreator.exe als Distiller parametrieren. Verfahre ich analog mit dem PDFCreator 1.9.5 dann entsteht zwar eine PS-Datei aber keine PDF-Datei mehr. Wo versteckt sich beim 1.9.5 die Distillerfunktion?

Zweiten Drucker beim Setup installieren

Hallo,

ich wollte fragen, ob es auch möglich ist dem System gleich zwei Drucker während der Installation hinzuzufügen.
Bspw. mit: /PRINTERNAME="PDF Mailer, PDF Creator"

Oder alternativ, falls das nicht geht, via Skript mit Parametern zusätzliche Drucker hinzuzufügen.
